A bill that would dock Michigan State and Wayne State universities millions of dollars is meant to be a strong message about making tuition increases, according to sponsor Rep. Bob Genetski (R-Saugatuck). HB 4980 would dock WSU nearly $13 million and MSU more than $18 million for allegedly breaking caps set by Gov. Rick Snyder on tuition raises.
